Lateral chromatic aberration: red is magnified by 1 + strength, blue by
1 - strength. strength=0 samples the exact pixel centres and returns
the input to within 1e-15, which the suite checks.
Negative strength swaps which channel spreads outward — allowed, since
which way a real lens disperses depends on the glass.
