image_orientation — OPTICS noncoaxial op

使い方

Image orientation through folds (table): reflections, handedness, rotation.

Traces the chief ray at the field origin and at small +x / +y field steps and returns the 2×2 Jacobian J of the image position (image-plane local x, y; a right-handed basis with the light travelling along +z) with respect to the object field (fx, fy). det > 0 is a right-handed image (upright or rotated), det < 0 a reversed (mirror) image; n_reflections counts the reflections on the path — the closed form is sign(det) = (−1)^n_reflections (real, inverting imaging is a rotation by 180°). For an object at infinity the field is the ray direction, so the object point lies opposite to it and J is taken with that sign. rotation_deg is the rotation of the image of the object’s +y axis (180 for an ordinary inverted image); reversed is det < 0.
