directions of the point spread; extents come from the projected span. Returns
center (cd/cr/cc), axes (3, 3 — unit ROW vectors, depth/row/col
components), sorted half-extents l1 >= l2 >= l3, full size, volume,
corners (8, 3), and the RMS point-to-box-surface distance. For the true
minimum-volume box use smallest_box3. Raises ValueError on < 4 points
or a degenerate (flat) set.
